Tis my 30th birthday and I've never flown before. Friend of mine is a charter pilot and offered me a free ride. Pretty nervous considering I hate roller coasters and heights in general.

It's not really like a roller coaster or heights, you lose perspective

What I dislike about planes is you often get that "dropping" feeling in your stomach

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down, he thought
"Well, isn't this nice"
And isn't it ironic, don't you think?

I was about the same age the first time I boarded a plane. It was a commercial flight though. I was much the same way, not super into rollercoasters or fond of heights. It was actually 2 flights because I had to catch a second one out of Atlanta to Illinois. When the flight was booked I specifically asked for an aisle seat because I didn't know if I could handle a window seat. The first one was easy, on the second one I ended up with a window seat anyway though. Damned if I didn't spend the entire second flight looking out the window without fear. It was oddly peaceful.

100% one of those times you come away realizing the fear was irrational and wondering why was I ever nervous. I hope you enjoy the experience it sounds like it might be fun.
