I think he was banned because...

Although not so famous in the entertainment world, he's hugely popular in the gaming community having more than 4 million followers and 50,000 daily viewers on twitch..he also just signed a contract with the site not long ago for exclusive content and it is shocking that they booted him just a few months later and refunded people

But even after he and his wife broke their silence, they still say the ban is unclear and twitch isn't speaking...yet

He was banned once before temporarily for filming a men's bathroom..he also cheated on his wife but she apparently forgave him and seemingly supports him now so that can't be it..

but conspiracy theories are still running through people on why he got the boot and he isn't some right-wing nut who says politically incorrect things..in fact he made donations to BLM!

Whatever it is, i'm sure dailymail will be the first to get scoop :o.

So what do you think the reason was?

And apparently even less famous in the real world... wait, come to think of it, could you even call Twitch "the entertainment world"? >_>

What could you possibly call it other than entertainment? (not sarcastically of course)

I always thought of it as being part of social media and more that stuff, same as stuff like Tik Tok.

Definitely not. Webseries on netflix and stuff, youtube, and streaming like twitch (which frequently gets edited and uploading for later viewing on youtube) are probably going to replace formal television by the end of my natural life span.

Netflix is obviously professional, high budget content... although it mostly pulls *from* tv and no streaming platform (save maybe D+) is really in a position to replace formal tv in any real regard. Youtube is a mix of pirated content, vlogs (which are *very* social media), reaction videos (again, social), etc, with relatively limited serious content and virtually no quality/reasonable budget content (although there are a few channels that I have surprised me).

And obviously Twitch generally shies away from traditional content, quality/reasonable budget content, etc. A lot of its streaming (as is true of other sites) is people talking into a camera and asking for Patreon contributions.

Granted, at the same time you could *try* to argue that social media is replacing traditional entertainment and is thus entertainment in its own right. However, does anybody *really* consider it part of the entertainment industry?

Theres recently been another wave of sexual harassment allegations. This time towards a handful of streamers. Perhaps twitch caught wind of one towards this dude before everyone else?

Idk. Though, it sounds like Duckbear isnt calling Twitch the entertainment world, either. But rather the gaming community. That being said, I figure Twitch can fit different descriptions based on whats showing on it...
