Been pro mask from the beginning but was clowned on for it because the WHO (up until like a week or 2 ago) always said that you dont need masks unless your sick which was some horse shit seeing that if they admit it stops individuals spreading it, then more mask use should have been encouraged from the get go.

Subtle but distinct difference. Mask doesn't really help prevent you from catching it, but instead works to stop somebody who has it giving it to others.

Not to mention the major shortages at the start. I mean, our president was stealing them from states and I think part of the motivation was to get a healthy suppy for the medical field before the hoarding got worse.

Exactly. which is more than enough reason to encourage their use seeing that their were asymptomatic carriers.

2. If you do not have these symptoms, you do not have to wear masks because is no evidence that they protect people who are not sick
3. However if you are health but you are taking care of a person who may be infected with the new Coronavirus, then you should wear a mask whenever you are in the same room with that person.

Ok, so given what we knew about the virus and effectiveness of masks at the time. It either protects you or it doesnt. Why would they say you should wear a mask if taking care of a person sick? I thought they said literally 5 seconds ago that it doesnt protect you?

If people knew the truth about the virus the world would freak out.

Crazy how during Feb-April I was warned and sent to purg multiple times for calling out the WHO on a lot of their crap including their clown ass mask stance for 'conspiracy theories'. (Nearly all of the stuff i called out ended up getting retconned btw)

Because the definition of "protect" and "likelihood" change when you having repeated interactions with a symptomatic/sick person. It's like the difference between not wearing a seat belt driving down your driveway versus driving 100 miles.

If theyre saying it doesnt protect you then why do ppl in the medical field need them?

And shouldnt the burden of responsibly be on the suppliers where they should be prioritizing health facilities to get their masks supplies over sales to the general public. Now I dont work In a hospital but surely they order their stuff straight from a supplier/distributor than sending staff members down to local pharmacies and hardware stores to buy their PPE?

They werent recommending masks because they were concerned about people hogging them all up when healthcare workers are the ones who need them the most. Fauci said this when asked about the CDCs reversal.

People rushed out to buy all the supplies anyways and there were hospital workers who were left having to wear makeshift masks.

If you *truly* believe that questions in medicine, epidemiology, statistics, and public health are "yes/no" questions, I'd encourage you to study those areas a bit more.
