Floyd's murder was one tipping point that pushed the country over the edge. 9/11 was in itself, in a vacuum, significant.

Regardless unless we see an actual civil war I don't think they're on comparable scales. 9/11 had international effects where as Floyd still hasn't managed to get any cops convicted.

9/11 by far as of today.

But 9/11 played itself over several years. For all we know, the ramifications of George Floyd could resolve much quicker than expected, or continue to escalate beyond what we think could happen. The answer is very likely somewhere in the middle, but its really way too early to tell.

How is that not logical? He didn't say that innocent people died in both cases. He implied that only the people who died in 9/11 were innocent. What did you think when you read his post?

i thought he was saying "innocent people died in 9/11"
if he was saying something about george floyd, i interpreted it to be "even though a guy who was innocent died that night, more innocent people died on 9/11"
he's since clarified to say that he didn't think george floyd was innocent, but that's only after the fact

9/11 started a war that is still going on. Im not suggesting that the other incident isnt important, but its almost unfair to compare anything to the 9/11 event.

It also shifted our economy to being military first, military second, third, etc. People are struggling to get by, but we unveil a new fleet of billion dollar aircraft every month. We must have more aircraft than we have people to fly them. Whats going on is a Cold War-esque show of force, without any tangible reason. The Russians and Chinese arent exactly mobilized in the sea trying to invade, so this excessive military spending was kickstarted by the 9/11 events which result in nobody being able to get past square one.
