FortuneCookie 07/01/20 12:06:10 PM #1:	I can understand not wanting to have a Fu Manchu / Yellow Peril (historic term) character. But even a villain in a business suit is racist because that means it represents American fears of Asian business. 60% of the time, villains are more entertaining than heroes. When you say that a villain can't belong to a certain ethnic group, you're severely limiting their potential film roles. It's not like Hollywood is putting out a lot of movies with Asian heroes / protagonists either. I still can't get over the cop out that was Iron Man 3. The name "The Mandarin" sounds racist as hell no matter who has it. And when the average superhero gets at most 3 movies before a reboot, they are going to generally use the big names. Iron Man is one of the few villains where his arch-enemy is Asian, but he Mandarin does have a few image issues to work out.
