I'm not the one who has to respond with the exact same talking point every post even though literally no one ITT has even made the point you're arguing against.

You were saying wages shouldnt go up because non-monetary benefits have gone up. I think health insurance shouldnt be from employers, therefore non-monetary compensation would go down, leaving wages to go up.

Your entire defense of this is hur dur employers didnt want to package health insurance so theres nothing we can do!

Your assumption here seems to be that publicly-funded healthcare wouldn't drive a sudden and substantial increase in some other non-cash compensation that also gets a sweetheart tax break for some reason.

I have spent this entire topic trying to explain to you what compensation means and you just don't get it. I'm almost speechless.

Ok what you are literary saying here is that one form of compensation would go down while the other goes up.

The average employer pays about $12/hour just in non-monetary compensation. You realize that if an employer takes away those benefits from you but increases your wage by $12/hour it's not actually an increase in your pay right? Please tell me you understand this.

So its ok that corporations do everything in their power to lower wages and spend money on things that give them tax breaks and get more profit because reasons, but dear god, when you try and put more power into the consumers hands, thats just not allowed at all.

Makes sense, glad we cleared it up that some people just want corporations to control everyone and everything.

"Their wages go up, but their pay wouldn't go up because TeChNiCaLlY compensation stayed the same."

Wow, didn't know that was a bad thing to put more money into workers hands. Oh wait, should have known who I was talking to.

Okay, if that's what you think.
Insurance will just be replaced with other perks the company can write off and the employee isn't directly taxed on, such as convoluted retirement schemes, or stock packages, or maybe even a company car or something.

Aaaaand now you're actually arguing for a healthcare system where people would pay out of pocket entirely.

I've never seen a more confused person.
