..in a literal troll universe.

This goes for both sides of the political spectrum.

I've mostly just been watching what's been going on but it's getting worse. People read whatever they want and use their emotions to make claims, people won't admit when they're wrong, people won't admit that the other side is probably partially right at least, etc.

Like literally everyone has to be trolling at this point and they're in too deep so they can't stop.

I feel that. There are many users here, members of forums anywhere, really, who aren't even certain of their own positions, or how much they really believe. They just know what they don't like, and focus on disparaging that.

The worst part is american propaganda under the guise of "free speech" has conditioned people to believe every opinion is worth listening to, deserves a platform and should be weighted equally, whether it's a scientist who knows what they're talking about or Cletus who read the bible and expects Noah to take his animals to the ark.

It's not a matter of putting your faith in things or not. Everything was always putting a spin on what they present. It's a matter of reading and media comprehension to glean what makes sense from it.

It's really, really not some deep thing to say "x is lying to you and y is watching you", that's just super obvious and I feel bad for people who keep repeating it like it's not step one.

I'm not gonna lie like 10-15 years ago when I was really young I was probably one of the biggest trolls on CE (under another username).

It's like everything has come full circle.
