I was working at a restaurant as a cook for several years

I just needed to get out of there. I felt like I would be there forever, and I want to take a shot at a better life if even to say I tried and failed.

Ive got money saved up and I dont really spend it. I feel like Im capable of learning anything, but Im honestly overwhelmed at what I should do

Ive been doing research on things like computer science, speech, marketing, video editing, business, analytics, and it all sounds cool but also incredibly risky and incredibly expensive.

Like Sound design. That sounds cool as fuck, but how practical is it to actually be a sound engineer?

Im certain that I have what it takes to be a good worker, just want to put focus on something practical that will actually get me a job that can sustain a family

um sound engineers are used everywhere nowadays. shows, movies, streams, events, conventions...anywhere that needs someone to deal with audio, you're gonna want a sound engineer

imo they are the worst kind of guys tho

My brother is one.

He worked at the Santa Fe Opera House for a while, and up until Rona he was living in NYC and traveling around the country installing systems in theaters.

Most of what you mentioned requires college education, up and quitting your job won't help you fund this pursuit. Your mental instability for being so aggressive toward a minor bit of constructive criticism on a forum pretty much says you aren't able to handle stability. I'd try to get the cooking job back, or legit seek help because how easily you just went off the handle just now is kinda concerning.
