Id say about Season 15 is where they lost me. That season has episodes Im not sure I ever saw. I think a lot of episodes from season 10-14 are very funny.

when they killed off Maude is (for me) the point where the show seemed to stop being rotf levels of funny

Season 15 is very much in "new Simpsons" territory. It's not exactly bad, but its the new type of episode where they stopped bothering trying to pull a "we're a satire of 90s TV sitcoms" because that just doesn't work in 2004.
IMO the worst seasons are seasons 18-20 wish while they're doing work on the movie. You can tell in a lot of the episodes there's just not a lot of substance there. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I know many purists will disagree, and while its peak had ended quite a bit before that, I think its fair to consider season 14 to be the last decent season, Ive heard quite a few people claim that lately and I kinda agree myself

I finished watching the entire series a couple of months ago. Cut-off point of consistent quality is season 10 at the latest, with season 14 onward is when it starts feeling different.
