It does.
The nerd dresses up like Darth Vader and the GF has sex with him thinking that the nerd is her Jock boyfriend. What makes it even worse is that afterwards she finds out it was the nerd and says "wow that was so much better than when it's with my boyfriend"

It's also funny that people pretend that in the work force, the nerds will be the bosses and the jocks will make chump change. Athletic kids are usually far more successful in the real world as adults too

The eighties were a strange place. Revenge of the Nerds was a favourite of mine to watch when I was younger, but ye gods, does it ever feature content that would not fly 5ft today.

And it makes sense. Not only are attractive people (i.e. people in good shape) much more likely to be hired and promoted, but being fit means that you have discipline, which is something that successful people need.

Nerd is too often used in high school when geeky is far more accurate. Just being nerdy is actually something common enough among successful jock types. Neither of those terms cancel each other out, at all. The stereotype in school is to limit those words but you can be nerdy about any topic and smarts just roll into other areas of life. The stereotypical nerd archetype doesnt even necessarily have to be that smart, they might just do cram studying or be able to regurgitate lesson plans, if that.
