Neither are great games, but there was quite a lot of fun to have in RE6 (even if a lot of it wasn't intentional, like the subway garbage). RE5, on the other hand, was a rather straightforward third-person-shooter game, which was somewhat lifeless, and you had an AI partner that kept saying the same things.

I like both a lot and think they're great.
The co-op's great in 5, there's more tandem offence and focus on spacing while 6 is more like 2 independent characters on the same team with scores overlapping.
I'd definitely make a few gameplay tweaks to the single player though (Mainly being able to kill enemies while breaking out of a grapple like Leon in 4)

I miss when the series was fun like that.

Did you enjoy teleporting infront of that subway train for no good reason?

My issue with 5 is it tries to have its cake and eat it too with being an action game. 4 had a good balance so it worked there but 5 ramped up the action while keeping the same kind of stiff controls. It just did not feel good at all. At least 6 embraced itself being an action game to the fullest, so I actually ended up enjoying that game more than 5.

That's very specific and I do think it happened the first time I played but nonetheless I did end up really enjoying the gameplay and once you know how scenarios like the train bit are going to play out, the campaign mode's pretty manageable outside of No Hope difficulty.

RE5 is one of the greatest co-op games ever made.

Resident evil 4 while different was still pretty decent resident evil. Decent length and difficulty. The dlc was on point too. 6 is too long, changes themes. Nothing feels fun to do, the movement is awkward and the shooting feels like bullet sponges. I still like it for what it is too
