Idk exactly what it is, but the structure of the game makes everything seem repetitive and pointless. I tried second son and was disappointed to see it's more of the same. It's a shame because in SS I had a lot of fun in the beginning areas. Then when I got to Seattle and saw it's it'd be like the first one from there, I was disappointed.

Oh well. Not like I spent a fortune on these. I'm not gonna force myself to play them.

I didn't play SS, but yeah, it can get repetitive. That kind of structure is somewhat intended to let you try to get creative but if you're just trying to finish the game, it can get old fast.

Competing every night, both ends, shoot inside/outside, fast break, transition, Monta Ellis have it all

If you want to play a good sandbox game from the late 2000s that people never talk about anymore, play Bully.

So did you skip the 2nd one? Because the first inFamous and Second Son are horribly repetitive, and I'm in the camp that feels Second Son took some steps back. First Light was actually the most fun I had with the series now that I'm looking back, but it's short.

I might do that when I get back to Austin. Staying with my parents now and i don't have a TV that takes RGB input.

I think it's kinda meant for people that wanna dick around and have fun with it. Kinda like what I used to do in gta as a kid. If I were my younger self I bet I'd like it a lot more.

Yeah. I have it because I have the ps3 collection on the cheap. I'm not sure how far I got into the first before I put it down. Maybe I'll try 2 down the line.

Edit: I don't really think either are bad games to be clear.

That's a shame, the first one has a top-tier ending
Oh yeah this is definitely true. Just in terms of plot I vastly prefer the first game to the 2nd. I love the reveal regarding the main antagonist's motive.

Idk maybe I'll just play these games in small doses. Like 30 minutes to an hour at a time

2 is the best one but if you didn't get into the first it's probably not worth it.

The first is okay. Probably a bit overrated for the time since PS3 was still a bit shitty exclusive wise at that point. Which funnily enough happened with Second Son too.
