There are many games with heavy themes. That ask to player to think about right or wrong in new ways. What did that to you the most.

Hmm...
Probably WWF No Mercy on Nintendo 64. It reuses actual plots the WWF used in 1998, 1999, and 2000. Playing through the championship modes would remind me of the good times as well as the bad. Like, I can't help but go off on a mental tangent whenever I think of what a selfish political move it was that Triple H, the future son-in-law of the company owner, would script himself to win over The Rock at the biggest show of the year, WrestleMania. The Rock could legitimately be President of the United States in four years from now. But 20 years ago, he was falling prey to the political guillotine and being made to look like someone who choked when the stakes really mattered. Of the all the Pay Per Views the WWF/WWE has ever had, that result was their single biggest mistake. --- 2020 going to be a CE kind of year ~ Panthera ... Copied to Clipboard!

the Binding of Isaac is the most contemplative game for me. Want to get more into that? HHH, likes doing this to black guys. He did the same thing to Booker T. And he was a racist bad guy in that angle. There is no reason at all he should have won. Booker T wasn't really positioned to be a champion the way that Rock was, but there was no reason for the racism in that rivalry. Even if Booker T had won, it wouldn't have made up for some of HHH's remarks. The thing about WrestleMania 2000 is just how gratuitous it was that HHH won. It's not like HHH had anything to prove or anything to gain from that victory. He was the sitting champion and he'd already beaten all three contenders individually. The video game even brings this up. In the championship mode, if you play as HHH and win at WrestleMania, Vince McMahon comes out and begs the question as to why you don't just retire now that you've beaten everyone and have nothing left to prove. (Then he sics a resurrected Andre the Giant on HHH just to drive home the point that no man alive can beat him.) --- 2020 going to be a CE kind of year ~ Panthera ... Copied to Clipboard!

One man could - Funny story about that... I made Joe Bruiser in create-a-wrestler mode. I was using a GameShark to try and create an accurate Big Show when I somehow triggered Joe Bruiser's animation where he prevents opponents from performing an Irish whip on him. So instead of making Big Show, I made Joe Bruiser instead. I played through championship mode, lost to HHH at WrestleMania, beat him at Backlash, and lost the WWF title in my first defense to Mick Foley. Afterward, HHH pinned Joe Bruiser in a tag match and I deleted the create-a-wrestler version of Joe Bruiser. HHH's politics of victory extend even into the realm of 64 bit wrestling. <____< --- 2020 going to be a CE kind of year ~ Panthera ... Copied to Clipboard!

I actually regret deleting Joe Bruiser since I'm not sure if I'll be able to trigger the Irish whip block animation again. I'm surprised it was even buried in the game's data. It's slightly different from the one seen in WCW/NWO: World Tour.

But he couldn't be OP like that in WrestleMabia 2000 or No Mercy. The OP thing about him was having a high chance to knock you out with a single punch. Sometimes it could happen with the very first one It wasn't a perfect likeness. For one thing, he had grapple techniques. For another, none of the hair styles or faces matched him accurately. But, yeah. He was stronger in the first game than characters in subsequent games could be. Back in the day, Nintendo Power released the strength stats of some of the characters in WCW/NWO: World Tour. Hulk Hogan had an arm strength of 6 whereas strength in subsequent games maxes out at 5. I'm guessing Joe Bruiser was a 6 as well -- if not higher. I did max Bruiser's arm strength out at 5 though. I knew enough to do that. I also gave him some of the same moves he had from the earlier game. It wasn't ideal, but it was mildly fun for a couple of hours. --- 2020 going to be a CE kind of year ~ Panthera ...
