Specifically Bioshock Infinite.

Heard great things about Outer Wilds but I'm skeptical if I'd like it.

I've heard good things. I started it but have only played like 30 minutes into it so far and it hasn't captured me yet. I haven't played enough for it to have the chance to capture me tho

Outer Wilds is definitely different. Not everyones cup of tea. really should look at some spoiler free reviews so you can see the artstyle and decide if the heavy puzzle/discovery aspect is for you.

not too far into outer wilds, but it's definitely a trip. it's scary and unnerving. but it's fun!

outer worlds, however, is a short and limited rpg and really only good if you're starved for a mini-obsidian game.

outer wilds is superior, and i haven't even played much of it yet...

It's fun but I feel like 5 or 6 hours in that I haven't made any progress. It had a great to charm to it though.

i very much enjoyed................watching my brother play it. its a great game but i could not for the life of me figure out how to pilot the ship without smashing it into every planet. my first ten deaths i didn't even get off the first planet, and then i died another five times trying to get to the moon

I started outer wilds a week ago and thought that I had seen a saving indicator at some point . I got as far as going to the observatory .

turns out nothing saved and I have to start over. How do you save in this game ?

The game saves every 22 minutes. You can fly to a different planet, talk to a dude to learn meditation, which will end the game and save your progress.

Also, you need to reach a certain point in the beginning before the game actually starts, but that can be done in just a couple of minutes.

There's a very specific trigger that occurs to let you know your game is saved.

You'll have to play for about an hour or so before you discover it.

You should get it. It took me around 30 hours to complete and I had a blast.

It's a polarizing game however, so you're either gonna give it a 9 or 10 outta 10, or a 1

I have no idea what I'm doing here

I went to one planet with a bunch of hurricanes and while I was exploring, something happened and I woke back up in my sleeping bag on my home planet. I have no idea what happened, or if I lost progress, or if going to that planet actually happened or not

Then I went to another planet, crashed my ship, went outside to look at the damage and then just started floating off into space randomly and couldn't get back to my ship

lmao what is going on. I suck at this

Every time you wake up, the game saves. I can't say for sure what happened to you, but if I had to guess, it's something that's difficult to notice while you're on Giant's Deep.

One of the first big tricks of the game is making sure you have proper control of your ship. It takes practice. If you're going to check your ship for repairs, make sure it's grounded. It's really tough repairing it in open space.

I'm trying to explore this one planet and I end up exploring one part, dying, and then finding another part I haven't seen and then eventually dying again. No idea how it all ties together

This game is wild (pun intended), but if I don't have an aha moment soon I might need to stop

Pretty much the point of the game is to find readable information throughout various places. Once you read something, it usually gets logged to your journal (at least the very important things). You can view your journal of information and hints in your ship. This shows you stuff separated by planet, or you can toggle it to rumor mode, which is like a big web of clues. If they have question marks, it means there's more to explore, but if there is a picture, it means you found all the pertinent information for that area. You're basically meant to follow all the clues in your journal to beat the game (they all lead to and from each other).

You don't have to go back and read stuff in the environment. Once you read it, a message pops up saying something like, "logged to ship's journal". And then when you get back on your ship, you can see the gist of what the message contained on the ship's journal. All that you need to do at that point is save the game by either finishing the cycle, dying, or meditating.

Everything read and marked in your journal is preserved.

Have you touched down on the Attlerock yet? As the nearest celestial body, it actually does kind of give you an "overarching" direction.

Also, don't forget to explore Timber Hearth itself. With your ship.

Oh and don't forget to use your Signalscope to connect with the other members of Outer Wilds Ventures. Your fellow explorers actually are quite helpful at filling you in on their locales.
