I made this topic after finishing in 2nd place in another match.

But just now I won my first match & the whole team survived.

I was so hesitant to play this mode because I didnt know it was just matches. I didnt fully read the details >_>. I thought it was going to be like the campaign/adventure but on some sort of hardcore mode where youre forced to fight others, destroy their bases, & steal their resources. It sounded like it was going to be frustrating and so I never bothered to touch that mode.

I only gave it a shot because some of the dailies are for the pvp mode and I want to unlock some of the items for this new seasonal progression thing they added in the latest update. The ghillie skins rewards are horrendous but I really want the power armor skins & to accumulate atom points so I dont have to spend actual money in the atom shop.

I think I played it for like an hour. I like some of the ideas behind it but I don't have the patience to play games like that :\

Nuclear Winter is probably most fun on consoles unironically. PC version is plagued with hacks and cheaters, it sucks.

No Man's Sky is even slower than Fallout 76 but there's more stuff to discover/build I think. I was turned off by the fact that environmental effects drain your resources/damage you (which is fine), but you can't see them unless you're exposed to them (wtf), unless it's a graphical setting I didn't see.

Ive played about 10-15 matches so far. Im sure theres hacking here & there but the only one that really stood out was when one person killed almost 20 players at the beginning of the match. One kill after another within seconds of each other.

I was switching back and forth between playing on the Xbox & PC versions, although I havent played the pvp mode on Xbox. I may check it out to see if more people are using headsets there to communicate & coordinate.

Theres some big differences Ive noticed between both versions when it comes to the adventure/campaign mode. Theres always a lot more people on PC, more participation when it comes to the world events, and more nuke launches to fight the Scorchbeast Queen.

And on the PC people are more welcoming to newer/casual players. Their vending machine prices tend to be lower and sometimes
the ones with bases set up in the beginning area are giving away first aid supplies or ammo.

Also people tend to dump their unwanted ammo & supplies in the receptacles at the whitespring train station.
