Sony probably chose blue to differentiate from Nintendo, especially considering they were connected at one point before the OG PS. Microsoft.. It wasn't until Switch where they went hard. Playstation started gearing towards blue in the PS2 era. The lettering was blue and the accenting was blue, but again, not until PS4 did they did they heavily represent the background as blue. XBox was green from the get-go. From moment one. They picked green and they stuck with it. Guerrilla Soldier 07/10/20 11:38:04 AM #9:	xbox was always green. it was the brand they chose from the start, and they're the newest. nintendo's logo was always red but they didn't really adopt it into the branding scheme until the 3ds, from what i can remember. sony isn't necessarily always blue though. --- Disclaimer: There's a good chance the above post could be sarcasm.
