Current Events > I've had the Pokemon Sword/Shield DLC for weeks, but have no desire to play it.

In fact, I just suddenly lost motivation to play the game in general when I was breeding for a HA Duraludon. I started the Isle of Armor and did the running Slowpoke quest, but haven't gotten the desire to pick it back up since.

It didn't help that when the Pokemon DLC dropped, I was playing through Xenoblade DE which just blows Sword/Shield out of the water in almost every category despite the game itself being a decade older than Sword/Shield. Hell, the fact that Pokemon doesn't have a minimap for its Wild Areas screwed me up because I was so used to pulling it up in Xenoblade.

...Maybe it's me finally realizing that I've outgrown this series.

It's pretty weak, honestly. Definitely not worth $15 (half the cost of the expansion pass).

I did the DLC over a week and put the game back down once I finished.

Yes they were. For Pokemon fans anyway. If you didnt like Pokemon I can see why you'd not think it was worth it. But then again, it wasnt made for you.

I have spent more time in IoA than I have in the main game. Which is saying something. I enjoy the wild area more in IoA and the pokemon variety found in it. The Diglett quest, while not my favorite, at least gives me a reason to explore every part of the island.

I've been a fan of Pokemon since it's North American debut in 1998.

Sword/Shield are arguably not even worth $40.

Consider that it has even less content than the Gen 5 games, which retailed for $35.

Isle of Armor sucks, but nothing compares to how pathetic they handled Apricorns

The only useful thing they did at all is make EV supplements dirt cheap and purchasable in stacks of 25 for 50% off in the dojo vending machine.

Combined with a near-infinite amount of money you can get from Digging Pa, you can easily train all of your Pokemon immediately

Oh yeah, that's a travesty. They knew that people would be excited to finally be able to get more than the 1-2 Apricorn Balls you normally get in the game, and handled it in perhaps the worst way possible.
