tbh as a full game S3&K > Sonic Mania but the remade levels in Sonic Mania are better than the original levels

Christian Whitehead at least ported the trilogy to mobile at least and added some stuff like Hidden Palace Zone in Sonic 2.

They did kinda. They made the mobile remakes of 1 & 2 and they're literally the best versions of those games.

There's just a lot of nice features. In Sonic 1 there's classic mode (plays just like the original), and then there's the regular mode with level select, saved chaos emeralds, playable Tails and Knuckles, a few time attack challenges, proper wide screen support, and i believe high scores (not 100% sure on this one). It's just a very solid port with nice features. However what's usually ported is a no frills emulation of the first game, or a version with substantially fewer features.

They are rebuilt from the ground up. Theyre in widescreen, 60 fps, have a save feature, Knuckles in Sonic 1, and Tails in CD. There are some other things Im probably forgetting.

Play sonic 3 AIR, the only things it's really missing are mighty and ray but it's still better than mania by a long shot

You can CANCEL Tails' flight mid flight. How cool is that? It makes Tails actual fun to play

That sounds cool. Does the Sonic 1 remake have the spin dash? The Sonic Jame version of Sonic 1 on Saturn is awesome because it includes that. However, unfortunately the Sonic Jam version of Sonic 2 has terrible slowdown.

But by remake I'm saying in the way that the levels were remade in Sonic Mania.

Yeah Sonic 1 does have a spin dash and they fixed the janky spin dash in CD.

Sonic 3 AIR is great

Playing through it, it is indeed a more fun playthrough than Sonic Mania. I had to stop playing multiple times when playing Mania.

Something I like and dislike about Mania is that the boss fights are legitimately hard.

Ive purchased Sonic Mania for every system its come out on, thats how much I love it, I want it there always.

Sonic Mania 2 is the easiest money Sega can possibly make.

Also one thing that is a downside of Mania is the music. It's not bad, it's just not memorable at all outside of the remixes of classic music

Studiopolis, Press Garden and Titanic Monarch are all excellent.
