big comic book fan but have long since lost interest with superheros started off with marvel didn't give a fuck about DC other than batman but then i read dc and preferred it by quite a bit
then stopped giving a shit about superheroes mostly, and only indie stuff i i did read which is still true but i prefer DC still in terms of those two characters are more interesting, have more depth imo less quippy --- "Conceit, arrogance and egotism are the essentials of patriotism"- Emma Goldman "Wimmy Wham Wham Wozzle!" -Slurms MacKenzie ... Don't know what TC's talking about. Last time I checked, the comics had not turned Superman into a Nazi, unlike Captain America.

I think superheros can be interesting but it's very difficult when you don't get full creative control like with marvel and DC because they're characters are also valuable brand
Some of my favorite comics are superhero comics just Grant morrison's doom patrol, and James Robinson's starman and Astro City and i haven't really read much of it but i own it, but The Maxx has very interesting art is so weird and odd and interesting and uses superheros as a way of looking at mental illness But no matter how good the writer, they can't do truly interesting things of marvel/dc will not let them --- "Conceit, arrogance and egotism are the essentials of patriotism"- Emma Goldman "Wimmy Wham Wham Wozzle!" -Slurms MacKenzie ...
