like, I initially felt that the game was a little long, but after beating it, I felt like there wasn't any part of it that I felt could be cut and so have the same impact.

That's fair.

It's mostly just due to how the game told its story events. The pace builds up, things get interesting, and then right before what seems to be the final encounter it was building up towards...it cuts away to tell another story, starting the pace over. It's part of why some people think the second half of the game drags.

yea, I was like, wtf @ starting a flashback when the story finally connected the two

but I ended up feeling even more tense (the most tense I felt in the game) when you played as Abby and made your way to the theater and finally faced Ellie
