Kevin Feige will live forever. He will see to it that the continuity is upheld in the coming centuries. It's the only way he can prevent these characters from ever appearing in remakes.

He must've used his Disney connections to wish for eternal life and authority.

"Mister Feige, sir. Have a wish or two or three... The world has heard your every word and a remake will never be!"

Sorry.

It's just annoying when I casually mention a hypothetical remake of Captain America and someone pulls a "Well, actually..." citing Feige.

It might be 10 years.
It might be 40 years.
It will happen.

Dont need to reboot, both Marvel and DC have infinite alternate universes. It can all be the same reality.

The MCU will collapse under the weight of its own canon. In 20 years writers will be begging for a reboot.

Or they could just pull a Star Trek which technically isn't a reboot.
Bullshit, they're reboots. Especially Discovery.

Nothing since the Fox films aren't part of the MCU.

Just because theres an in-universe explanation for the reboot, doesnt mean its not a reboot.

Using that logic, DC Comics has never rebooted anything >_____>

Just as soon as Disney can come up with a marketable, gender neutral name for the X-Men.

Right, which means the MCU versions don't exist to be rebooted.

Wrong. They will remake it when their business analysists propose to the board that a remake will generate net profit

It would be awkward to try and canonize the Fox series into the MCU because of Magneto, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch. Even without that, it would still be an ass pull.

"You remember the X-Men? They fought atop the Statue of Liberty back in 2000. It was around that time that one politician was making those anti-mutant speeches."

They're not gonna canonize the Fox movies.

The comics themselves never really rebooted. They just do massive sweeping retcons using some macguffin or Deus ex. Like Prime punching so hard it brings Jason Todd back to life.

There would be no reason to.

Anything they would have gained from having a ready made franchise would be lost by having a bunch of middle aged superheroes and miles of continuity errors.
