Does it?

Saw a dead, eviscerated moose in TLOU2 and it had a bunch of blood around it. Would something like that bother you?

Movie gore can. Video game gore is great. I hope god of war 5 brings the old gore back. Also I wish doom eternal was as gory as 2016

I was talking on this girl on Facebook messenger and she was hesitant to talk because she thought I was just talking to her to get laid and I'm like "no I really want to get to know you I have so little friends. And as a test I guess she sent me like 5 or 6 pretty disturbing gore picks and I'm like "holy omg what is this?!" And then she blocked me.

Movies? Think so. I remember noping out on saw

Games? Nope. As a matter of fact the level of brutally in tlou 2s gameplay is satisfying and cathartic to me

No. I may find it enjoyable if it's over the top. Like if it's not taking itself so seriously and it's just like "oh look at this guy, he's 90% blood!"

If they do this but they're being serious though, then it's usually just sad and boring.

No.

One of the first things I remember using the internet for was looking at real-life gore and fucked up stuff on Rotten back when I was in middle school.

Nothing I can see in a video game or movie will phaze me much because I know it's not real.

People can have their intestines ripped out and used for rope to quickly reach a lower floor and it doesn't bother me at all. May even be funny due to how unexpected it is.

Why is it that he can hit a 3rd baseman on a frozen rope from 300 feet away, but he can't hit a 12 foot tall catcher from 60 feet 6 inches away?

Depends. There are a few times Ive had to scrunch my face against certain movies, like one I watched recently where this guy is getting tortured by some psychotic teenagers in a very visceral and realistic manner. That was making me tense up. But for the most part not really, in fact it can be great slapstick comedy in many movies like the John Wick films for example (the 3rd one at least, the one I saw). Interestingly, vomit and other bodily fluids that arent blood usually make me gag when I see them in a film.

Not directly, but it annoys me when gore is okay and sexuality is not.

Having women in sexual situations or revealing outfits (allegedly) leads viewers to not respect women and not respecting women makes women more susceptible to rape. But ripping someone's head off is perfectly acceptable. Or stabbing people in the eye with tools one can find around the house -- something you could actually hypothetically do.

But sex bad.

No most of the time, but extreme gore like in the Saw series does make me wince a little. Graphic violence played for laughs on the other hand doesn't disturb me in the slightest.

This is a really good point.

There have only been a few times where videogame gore made me feel gross. The first time was when I was playing Mad World for Wii and the main character shoved the long part of a stop sign up an enemies ass. The second time was when I was playing Dead Island and the zombie was burned, leaving it's flesh blackened and crisp.

Gore is usually pretty violent and straight forward. I feel like sexuality in games is played for yucks and really misses some of the finer points of sexuality (passion, eroticism, emotion, fetishism, etc) and really just boils down to skimpy outfits and base-level aesthetics.

You can thank the ultra-conservative puritanical fundies for indoctrinating that making love for pleasure is somehow more sordid than violence.
