There are a few times Ive had to scrunch my face against certain movies, like one I watched recently where this guy is getting tortured by some psychotic teenagers in a very visceral and realistic manner. That was making me tense up. But for the most part not really, in fact it can be great slapstick comedy in many movies like the John Wick films for example (the 3rd one at least, the one I saw). This is a really good point. There have only been a few times where videogame gore made me feel gross. The first time was when I was playing Mad World for Wii and the main character shoved the long part of a stop sign up an enemies ass. The second time was when I was playing Dead Island and the zombie was burned, leaving it's flesh blackened and crisp. Gore is usually pretty violent and straight forward.
