my dad was an abusive drug dealing asshole, i'm pretty sure i'd laugh until i pissed myself if this had happened to him before he died from a life of being a drunk asshole.

My dad is much much more well off than me. If he has got himself in a financial situation that had the potential to ruin him, the money needed to fix it is something I don't have.
