A later prime minister was called Mackenzie King

There was a really popular myrtr called Reil, who championed certain minority rights

The Boer War happened in South Africa, and Canada supported the British, who eventually won

Some of the research done on nuclear weapons in the 1940s, was actually done secretly in Canada

Canada was basically first a country in 1867

Back in the 20th century, Canadians really liked the Queen

There have been lots of cultural and political problems between the Anglophone and Francophone parts of Canada

I must admit, I've learned quite a lot. It's a shame that Canadian history isn't particularly well-known around the world, at least, I think it isn't. It has quite a lot in common with American history, but certain important differences.

It's mostly the Quebecois who keep saying "we hate you we want to leave and be our own sovereign nation, but still want all the benefits of being part of Canada" and the rest of Canada going "are you for fucking real?" every few years.
