Under federal law, the minimum age to buy a handgun from a licensed dealer is 21. But the age limit drops to 18 if the gun is being purchased from a private, unlicensed seller, which could be a neighbor or someone online, or at gun show.

I'm not entirely certain it'd have the effect we'd want since, to memory, a fair few school shooters, at least, got their guns from a family member or unsecured gun safe.

Nope. School shooters usually steal their parents weapons without their knowledge. So raising the age won't do much.

This, very few are caused by illegally obtained guns. Letting kids fail instead of coddling them and bringing back asylums to house those wanting to shoot up schools will solve the issue.

it still baffles me how guns are so accessible there...

and whenever people talk about restricting them even more, all the gun nuts are like "you're gonna have to pry them off my cold dead hands!!". lol

All Constitutional rights should be restricted to people over 25.
