Why did they stop making games in this series?

wasn't very popular in Japan and international sales were never high. Revamp didn't work so well.

I am a huge fan of the Advance Wars games. I even enjoy Batallion Wars for GCN and Wii though I prefer turn-based strategy to real-time.

this series is what created English Fire Emblem. the first Advance Wars game in the west, proved they could bring over Fire Emblem. they originally were never going to. so we should thank it for that at least. I don't know what caused them to end the series
