Welcome to the King of Fighters 2020 (NOT MERCS) Simulated Character Battle Tournament!

The game is simple. The two* listed characters are placed in an (imaginary) location with a variety of (imaginary) environments, kind of like a picture in a child's schoolbook that describes different types of geological features. Within a ten mile radius, there is an (imaginary) urban downtown, exurbs, plains, snow-clad mountains at the edge, dry plains, etc. Fighters start wherever is most appropriate for them, but feel increasingly compelled to seek out their opponent and fight. Strong-willed fighters can try to hold out in their chosen environment for longer... eventually, all will succumb and actively search for the other to battle.

To participate, just vote in bold for whichever character you believe will win. Giving reasoning is optional, but please be polite and read what others have said and carefully make your decision. I'll ping the nominators (they can opt out) to give arguments if they wish.

Okay so here's what google gives me on Scheherazade:
- Don't look up pics of her augh my eyes
- She's basically a reality-warping storyteller. Her Noble Phantasm is a Reality Marble that can manifest any story as reality. It doesn't have to be a real, historical story; the better she can sell it, the more effect it has. Which seems really powerful in theory, although my 30 seconds in google did not provide me with any plot showings.
- She's also really good at reading the personality/temperament of kings (and king-like people, so I presume any sufficiently powerful leader would count) so that she can behave in ways that convince her not to kill them.
- But aside from her NP, her damage is "not exciting," meaning that NP spam is "pretty much the only good thing about her."

Sera is an "Instant Bullet," having been granted "the power to destroy the world." She has the ability to summon any explosives that exist on earth. She is a cheerful girl who wants to save the world, and she's described as "an otaku with no friends who enjoys anime and manga" - so presumably she doesn't count as a king.

Would she actually do that though? Detonate a nuclear warhead? Is it in her personality to be so trigger happy? And does it count as a win if she kills herself along with her opponent?

Also, Fate servants can't be harmed by conventional means, right? How conventional is an explosive?

An IB's power is born of malice. Sera is bubbly/cute/etc. but has no concept of friendship and, fundamentally, doesn't care about anything except herself and her own desire to be a hero. She would wipe out a city of innocents to also take out a handful of enemies (she actually attempts this near the beginning with a nuclear armed satellite but is foiled by the main character). But I don't think she'd immediately go for the suicide strat; she does want to live. Anyway a double kill is a draw tbqh.

Halfway through, here's some featz:

- Removed all the bullets from an enemy's gun (she did this from offscreen, then left the actual battle to her allies)

So she clearly has big firepower, but against a human-sized opponent I'm not convinced she opens with it. Personality-wise, she has no compunctions about killing but is also chatty so I could see her giving Schera enough time to spin a story.

meanwhile Schera continues to be a giant pile of vague. like in theory with her power she could be like "Once upon a time, there was a world with no weapons" and if Sera got caught up in the story, there goes her entire arsenal. or "Once upon a time, there was a hero who got along with everyone and had no superpowers." but - no showings. and she has a really small margin of error to incapacitate Sera before her face gets blown off

anyway, the other thing is that sera is way better at range. schera seems to need an audience for her stories. so if they see each other from afar (possible on this terrain) it's not great for her
