I'm 34 and went back to school a year a half ago, so at 32.

I'm doing accounting and it's seemed alright so far, I am often the oldest in the classroom. Some of my business courses have graying students there, but not all.

It's been overall a pretty good experience, been a lot more focused then I was at 18. That's for damn sure.

BUT there are a lot of jobs in the engineering world that just need some certifications to back you up and that pay well too. And those tangential careers have plenty of guys that come into those careers a little later.
Maybe thats a better way to start, I'll look into certs.
