Gamepass lets me try a bunch of games i never would have otherwise.

just this weekend i was able to play the extremely good Deliver us the Moon. Contender for my GOTY, but I never ever would have touched it if it wasn't on gamepass.

Stacking live and converting to ultimate is a great value.

Gamepass at $15/mo can be a good value but once my stacked service ends I will cancel. I at least have more ownership digital than relying license agreements I never see.

The lack of exclusives + ditching 1yr gold only subscriptions leads me to believe the XSX really is gearing up to be a glorified backwards compatible machine with great specs for no reason

I'm all for it. The more the merrier. However, in it's current form, it still is a fanatic value proposition, even if you only play 1 new game a month.

For example, my list of games. I would never have played a single one of them if they didn't come with gamepass.

What? Microsoft is gearing up to release a lot of exclusives. Its one thing to say you dont like their exclusives they are showing. Its another to say they lack exclusives when they are obviously putting money into more exclusives

If you have a PC also and you don't buy a lot of games it can be a great value.

It also has introduced me to a cuppa indie games I've never played, and upped the player count on 2K so the park isn't quite as full of tryhards.

I'm a little disappointed that all the good deals on plain live gold are gone, but I mean I woulda never played FO76 or No Man's Sky without it, and both of those games are actually kinda fun now after a bunch of updates. I just wish there was cross progress on PC/Xbox on those games.

It might take some time to efficiently use ray tracing cores and to re examine level design with the optimized SSD loading of the new consoles. There's probably going to be a world of difference between early Ray tracing implementation and late gen implementation.

Anyways, gamepass is ok but i rarely play any games. The only reason i have it is for the points so i can earn money for my account.
