I just see a bunch of dudes chasing a puck not playing a particular role. If you give the best in the game just a hair of space they can score or create for others. Hockey is a simple game to learn and probably is the most skilled of all the sports but like others have said. Go to a game (hopefully when all this shit is over) and seeing it in front of you is how things click and you develop a liking to the sport. You have to see it in front of you to understand it. It seems that mostly people only don't understand that Icing Rule and Off-Sides rule Rink - https://i.imgur.com/Wx4OKES.png Off-sides Let's say everyone is over in the 1 section of the ice with 2 trying to score. If the puck crosses the "A" line to the right, all of the players from 2 have to cross back over the line again before they can touch the puck on the left side of "A" line again. If they touch the puck after it's crossed that line, it's called an Off-sides and it's something that the defense is trying to do. So why not just slap the back as hard as you can down the rink? Icing - If Team 1 hits the puck from the LEFT side of the "A" line and it goes all the way to the other side of the rink without someone touching it, that's an Icing and the puck gets brought back to their side for a Face-off Slashing his hitting someone's glove or wrist with a stick, hooking is grabbing someone with the curve of your stick. High sticking is, well, high sticking. Only bring the stick up to your shoulders. One of the more recent rules I added to the hockey rink as well. Those Red parts in each corner - The goalie can't play the puck in those sections anymore.
