...tone it down a bit, or at at the very least, dictate their actions a little more rationally? you know, show the protestors that they aren't the stereotypes of sadists we all see them as sometimes?

instead, it seems like they're upping the extremity of unnecessary force, and just letting blunt stupidity take the wheel. i just watched a whole slew of videos from portland where non-violent protestors, people who weren't raising a single finger in violent opposition, were literally getting their teeth kicked in, pepper-sprayed, beaten, and just fucking brutalized, ok?

it's just insane to me that, in the midst of a severe image-problem, police don't seem to be taking a great opportunity to present themselves in a sane light, but instead sprint in the opposite direction as the monsters that people are making them out to be, ok?
