Welcome to the King of Fighters 2020 (NOT MERCS) Simulated Character Battle Tournament!

The game is simple. The two* listed characters are placed in an (imaginary) location with a variety of (imaginary) environments, kind of like a picture in a child's schoolbook that describes different types of geological features. Within a ten mile radius, there is an (imaginary) urban downtown, exurbs, plains, snow-clad mountains at the edge, dry plains, etc. Fighters start wherever is most appropriate for them, but feel increasingly compelled to seek out their opponent and fight. Strong-willed fighters can try to hold out in their chosen environment for longer... eventually, all will succumb and actively search for the other to battle.

To participate, just vote in bold for whichever character you believe will win. Giving reasoning is optional, but please be polite and read what others have said and carefully make your decision. I'll ping the nominators (they can opt out) to give arguments if they wish.

A Psychonaut, Razputin can delve into other character's minds and... ok I didn't get very far in Psychonauts so I dunno how his mechanics here would work but let's say if he can overpower his opponent's subconscious in some way he wins

can he resist telekinesis or do anything while he's being held, if he can't that seems like an easy win for Raz

Razputin would die instantly of heart failure if he took a peek at the Witch King's subconscious. That shit ain't meant for mortal minds.

Though it's more likely he doesn't even try and spends the whole fight curled up in the fetal position until he gets stabbed by a morgul kinfe.

Raz is exceptionally strong and agile from being raised in a circus but looking at his opponent that will probably only help him dodge attacks (how fast is witch king here?)

psychic powers that can actually help are telekinesis (holding/throwing objects or people), reading minds/resisting his own mind being read, pyrokinesis (fire, duh), shielding himself, confusing people with thrown grenades, and turning invisible

he also has a door thing that lets him enter other people's minds, but that doesn't seem like a great idea here?

Yeah Witch King likely takes it. Raz miiight have a shot if he just sticks to other psychic stuff though I think Witch King has his own sorcery stuff to help against that on top of his fear aura or whatever. If he tries mind jumping shit Raz is fucked as others have said.
