Metal Gear Solid (showed me the impact story could have in games, in spite of the flaws in Kojima's storytelling, and got me into stealth games) Pokemon Red and Diablo II took up so much of my time and showed me the value of community in games. I'd discuss these games to death at school and online, trade and battle in person with Pokemon, and play with friends online in Diablo II, and loved every minute. All these games have great atmosphere too, and I value that a great deal in games now.
