Asaih Williams was with his parents and 2 siblings at Quietwater Beach where he convinced his dad, Josh Williams to go for a swim after sunset Josh however dived head first into an area that was much shallower than expected but Asaih went legs first He said "all i remember was that he said he broke his neck and he said he was scared. I had a little time limit in my head. If i jump in and the person i'm jumping with in that certain amount of time (doesn't come up) i go after them"... His mother and other siblings were back on shore and 50ft away so Asaih gathered up all his "strength" and dragged his dad out of the Santa Rosa Sound despite a 100 POUND WEIGHT DIFFERENCE He Flipped his dad onto his back so he didn't drown and then slowly tugged him toward the shore all with his own brute strength where a man then came over to help and a woman called an ambulance Audrey Williams said she had no idea what had happened until she saw them come to shore as Josh said "I knew when i hit that water i was gone" He was taken to Baptist Hospital as a trauma alert and was taken to Sacred Heart for a C1-C3 fusion surgery The family said it wasn't life threatening and wouldn't have to be in a wheelchair for long as he's working to get his feeling back on his arms and legs but should have a full recovery pretty fast Asaih's leg is recovering from inflammation after the jump but will be healed by the weekend as his mother calls him a hero and is grateful he was there She said "He brought him all the way back to shore all by himself.
