Hate to break it to you, dems did try to negotiate. They offered middle of the road and Trump and company said "NOPE! Our way or the highway." This is the biggest ploy to try and discredit dems, UI and payroll tax will get ousted as that congressional power.

Theres quite a few people in all income classes I can see being on board with it for a extra 8% in gross pay. I'd dare say most people even.

For most people it's not even $20 more on your paycheck. The people that want this at the cost of Medicaid and SS being gutted are what we call dumbasses.

More like $70. And over a month that's around $280, and within year over 3k....which for most americans living on the edge is pretty freaking significant actually.

So ignoring morals why would a young person with employer healthcare give two shits about FICA?
