Welcome to the King of Fighters 2020 (NOT MERCS) Simulated Character Battle Tournament!

The game is simple. The two* listed characters are placed in an (imaginary) location with a variety of (imaginary) environments, kind of like a picture in a child's schoolbook that describes different types of geological features. Within a ten mile radius, there is an (imaginary) urban downtown, exurbs, plains, snow-clad mountains at the edge, dry plains, etc. Fighters start wherever is most appropriate for them, but feel increasingly compelled to seek out their opponent and fight. Strong-willed fighters can try to hold out in their chosen environment for longer... eventually, all will succumb and actively search for the other to battle.

To participate, just vote in bold for whichever character you believe will win. Giving reasoning is optional, but please be polite and read what others have said and carefully make your decision. I'll ping the nominators (they can opt out) to give arguments if they wish.

An ordinary toaster, I have the ability to gradually induce psychological effects in those nearby me; specifically, that they come to believe that they are toasters, eventually ending in death when fatally trying to emulate me.

Can't Bane just find it through the force and proceed to force crush it from a distance? Plus I am pretty sure he'd have resistance to any psychological shit being a Sith Lord and all.

This is a little like the prion fight. Like that battle, it comes down to whether the my opponent will resort to wanton destruction before happening to succumb to my effects. In this fight, on one hand, Darth Bane doesn't need to eat his opponent to be affected; he just needs to be in my vicinity, and perhaps for the purposes of the match one can argue an extended range for my effects, or a reduced duration. On the other hand, a sith lord is probably one of the opponents most likely to burn it all down when he cannot find his enemy, and I personally bet he'd destroy me before getting poisoned himself

Pretty sure he can. He easily resists mind tricks (even though the given effect would take too long for it to matter) and is capable of shooting lightning storms and producing death fields. Whether he finds it via the force or just razes the field the result is pretty much the same. I'd assume Bane would have Orbalisk Armor and couldn't use stealth but that really isn't a factor in this particular encounter.

I will strongly argue that Bane can't figure out where the effect is coming from and he won't be immune to it. He'll be able to tell it's happening, sure, which I guess is further impetus to burn shit to the ground

Bane could absolutely sense the presence in the toaster. The force is in all living things, this is the guy that basically rebuilt the Sith as most people know it.
The fact that the effects are gradual and his destruction of the roaster is immediate makes it a pretty easy win.

I believe Darth Bane would resort to destroying the area if he can't find me before my effects would do anything lethal. Also, the force would likely grant some measure of resistance to my effects.
