Every time a character has it they get addicted to it. Are vicoden and percidan really better than say, a reeses peanut butter cup? That's what gets me addicted

They make me lose interest in everything, how people are fun and happy when they take them is beyond me. Everything just sucks.

If you don't get nauseous from them, then they provide a quiet, happy feeling.

That being said, longterm use can royally and permenantly fuck up your brain

Yes opioids are really that good. They aren't everyone's cup of tea but them and benzos are my 2 biggest weaknesses.

Not something you want to get involved in

I mean crack and meth feel pretty fucking good too but you should probably stay away.

I mean you said you've never tried them. Who is to say you wouldn't get addicted?

I was a teenager/young adult during a time when old school Opanas and OC 80s were fucking everywhere. Not the new versions, the type you could crush and bump/shoot/parachute/plug whatever.

Nowadays painkillers off the street are either fake presses or from a fuckin cancer patient or something because the DEA (and state medical boards) busted a few Dr.s and scared the shit out of every doctor that was legitimately writing them. I went to a doctor named Shelinder Aggarwall that is currently doing 85% of a 30 year fed sentence for running a pill mill.

I've had friends and even roommates who were opiate addicts. I've tried roxies on a couple of occasions. I never really felt much from them, I suppose I didn't take enough. Idk what they give you pre surgery but that was pretty good shit for the few minutes I could feel it the times they were wheeling me into the operating room, I'm assuming thats the feeling most people get but they don't get knocked out with gas like in surgery so they're able to stay up to enjoy it.

That could be. The few times Ive been prescribed pain pills they didnt do a whole lot for me, but Im super susceptible to alcohol. And my dad was an alcoholic, but he was in so much pain on his death bed because the pain pills they gave him never quite seemed to do enough.

If Tylenol is what a quick Google search has told me it is the only issue of abuse is people deliberately overdosing in suicide attempts. It has no other potential for abuse or addicting qualities or recreational use.

I was addicted to 4bars and Oxy for a few months after the Army gave me Hydrocodone 10s and tylenol 3s for a while.I would have too much fun after my pain went away.I was lucky and able to quit on my own.I suggest never going down that path unless you have sever pain that wont let you get bed rest.

I've had friends who weren't so lucky and fell down the rabbit hole similar to meth and heroin.

Tylenol is really bad for your liver. Or some people, idk I've seen people abuse the shit out of their liver and live a long time but I also know someone who died at 34 from liver cirrhosis.

This topic really isnt about APAP or NSAIDs this is more about opioids. Opioids like hydrocodone and oxycodone are mixed in pills with APAP and sometimes ibuprofen/aspirin, and the APAP is actually more toxic than the opioid, but one of the main reasons they do that is so people wont eat 30 at a time or crush them and IV/snort.

Ive done *the* opiate (past life, not now) and it felt like waking up and seeing that you can get under the blanket and back to sleep for a few hours; that sort of comfort.

dont consider it tc, the only once thing is true. its scary how fast you can get addicted and how fast the side effects kick in

I've had many surgeries as well as chronic post-surgical pain, and have taken percocet and tramadol in recent years for legitimate issues. My head gets all fuzzy and occasionally I get nauseous, but at the same time it's not entirely unpleasant. I don't have an addictive personality and never worry about becoming a little too liberal with my meds, but would be lying if I said I didn't understand why some people do.

They do make me feel pretty good. But I dont have an addictive personality so Ive gone through several prescriptions at different times (for good reasons) but I never take more than what my doctor prescribes. Normally Im given a month supply every now and then for my compressed nerve pain. Last year I got a second month because it was still pretty bad after a procedure and then I felt myself getting better after. I tried stopping them and immediately felt withdrawal symptoms. Shit sucked but I chose to taper them off. I had chills, nausea, muscle pains. It was terrible. When the doctor offered me a third bottle I said no.

I just got another prescription, a year later and only because I really needed it. Ive used 1.5 pills in three weeks, out of 20. I just have a lot of self control.

There are different kinds of addictions I think.

I used to some for migraines and they made me feel better. In the future, whenever mild pain came up my first thought of 'I'll take more to do away with it' came to mind even when it wasn't necessary.

So even if you don't get shivers or do drastic things to get a hold of them like media portrays, just the idea of immediately thinking of relying on it is a kind of 'addiction'. I kicked those feelings and I don't need them now.

This is pretty accurate.

I got into it after a torn achilles from soccer and was using them recreationaly for a while. I have cut them out completely (over 3 years now) but do miss it. The difference between lower level stuff like Vicodin and stronger stuff is pretty wild too.

I use kratom every once in a while and recently got my medical pot card but nothing is close to as good.
