They are so fucking inconsistent. "I want someone who is 100% devoted to the company but you have a family to take care of? I'm out", and then you've got "You're too invested in this project I'm out".

And sometimes they get so nasty about stuff seriously.

It's gotten worse over the years, and it's turned into typical American reality television, sob story, teary eyes, etc. They are selling their story as much as the product, because they want to draw sympathy from the viewers to keep them watching.

Apparently there's a Canada version called Dragon's Den that's a lot better, more about the products, economics, and investments and less of the drama.

Oh I thought Dragon's Den was British? But I have seen some clips of that and it does seem more interesting, with the investors actually trying the products, examining it, etc. On Shark Tank they're like "WHAT'S THE VALUATION WHAT ARE YOUR SALES WHAT'S THE OVERHEAD" and that's it.

You are right actually, my friend that lives in Canada watches it and he's the one that told me about it. I think I just assumed it was Canadian television, I don't get BBC (lol) here.

I wonder how much of the Dickery is real and how much is deceptive editing(They usually edit and trim down the meetings.)

I am sure there is plenty of dickery but the show probably makes it look even worse to be more entertaining.

I second Dragons Den, but initially I went with them because they had accents - I also like the Australian counterpart

I at least admire that Kevin tends to not take things personally, except when that one guy said hed work with anyone but him lol. Kevin will put his offer on the table and let the contestants consider other offers. Mark and Daymond get all pissy and withdraw for weird reasons.

It seems like every other episode he's recusing himself from half the pitches because he has a conflicting investment already.

Robert in this season has been kind of a douche, he's yelling a lot at people and playing the whole Mark Cuban "you make a deal with me or we're done" spiel.

Ive always gotten a kick out of the canadian being the mean one but i havent seen it in years.

It is really fascinating seeing how technology is advancing.

In the first or second season these guys were pitching this giant rotating sphere that you would enter and could navigate a virtual reality world in (it looked like original Rainbow 6 graphics lol), and now in Season 5 this new guy is pitching an all-direction frictionless platform with a regular VR headset and much better graphics. I almost want to buy it >_>
