Several months ago I rescued a kitten. He was sick and abandoned. We raised him and got him proper care and he quickly became a member of the family. He was super attached to my son too.

Today while I was pulling into my driveway he ran out under my car and I ran him over. Hec died shortly after.

Anyway here is the last pic I took of him just a few days ago.

Back on serious mode, that's unfortunate, but I think even in the end, you had an overall positive impact (bam! sorry, okay, back to serious) on its life. Probably would have died earlier and more miserably had it not been for your caring intervention.

Like I'm pretty sure he killed that cat on purpose. How was he supposed to know the cat was under the car? This was an accident and yet you guys are labeling him as a cat killer. Pathetic.

By watching where he's driving perhaps. I just hope it isn't his son or another member of his family next time. Responsible drives can avoid making most if not all animals roadkill.

I think it was a small dog, but can't remember which one. when she had the minivan warming, it decided to nap behind the rear tire in the warmth of the exhaust. and then, when she backed out...

but OP says the cat ran out <strike>in front of him</strike> under him in the driveway, which sounds a lot more avoidable. (not saying he is or isn't at fault; just what it sounds like. I can't say anything for sure based on a message on a message board.)

I'll just say it. Zang is an asshole. Yes my actions did cause my cat to die. On the same note I also had no idea the cat was even in the hedge. The hedge is thick. It was an accident. The cat ran under the car as I was slowly going by.

Whether you think I'm at fault here or not doesn't matter. A family pet is dead, we are all sad, and anyone being to blame isn't going to bring him back.

Take a look at the pic I posted. Behind my cat you can see my car and a giant hedge. The cat was in the far end of the hedge and as I drove by he ran out under the car

yeah I wrongly worded it as "in front of" when you didn't say that, you said "under".
