Old habits die hard for most people. I'm not sure. I get protecting the stats of your overall favorite, or maybe continuing to push your #1 if you think they have a real shot, but usually my "other" support moves around a good bit.

Fond days that one time Rufus got into the top 10. I miss Jesse_Custer/ahirsch voting in this.

I mean I guess most people just save their favorite final fantasy character instead of like their ninth or twelfth favorite so I kinda get that there.

I think it really only starts to deviate in the late game when a lot of peoples favorites leave and those characters generally dont get that far

Hmm. I know my enjoyment of characters like Cid (FF4), Cid (FF7), and Barret have also gone up over the years, so it's possible! I hated Strago as a kid, but perhaps he'll have a moment to shine some day.
