If the kid is going to claim self-defense in his trial, he's going to point out that the "one-armed man" had a weapon, and was well within his rights to take him out.

The kid had already murdered someone, so the other guy was well within his rights to take him out.

By asking whats the thugs excuse you are trying to justify a minor carrying an illegal firearm across state lines.

Again, literally trying to say two wrongs make a right.

By asking what's the kid's excuse you are trying to justify a thug carrying an illegal firearm across state line for a "peaceful protest". (cuz IIRC, the one-armed thug wasn't a local either)

See it yet?...the hypocrisy?

What if the positions was reversed, and the thug shot the kid dead with his glock? .... how would the narrative go?...oh wait, that already did happen elsewhere...

I don't care if we don't see eye to eye on this, just understand your position is less righteous and more hypocritical if you think the kid was wrong at all, and the thug was innocent.

I know that multiple people have reported it, even. Like I had said in another thread, the stupidest, pettiest thing gets hit after one or two people marking it, but something that clearly goes against the actual rules can take forever, and usually even then happen after people stop posting in such a topic as this.

I've been modded for suggesting nazis deserve to be punched in the face before. And this is still up.

That's only relevant to that particular gun law. Self defense claims would have nothing to do with the firearm being illegal or not.

Answer me this: Is it legal for a convicted felon to cross state lines with a gun he was not allowed to carry?

That is how the law is written (funny how you fail to see how precedence can make exceptions to those petty laws)

But the bigger picture says "Does it matter?" .....see you people can't understand your own narrative......

The question isn't why he should or shouldn't have a gun, the question is was Kyle in mortal danger to use any means necessary to defend himself....

Rittenhouse went to Kenosha to help defend his family's business during a riot, when all the 'rules' are thrown out the window regardless. No one has time to observe the anal-retentive letter of the law, because it's "do or die". Put the gun in his hand, and defend yourselves.... You think settlers observed the law when the natives circled their wagons?....no different here.

However, understand too that Rittenhouse was just a much a resident in Kenosha than the majority of the rioters who were there. He lived 30 mins away from Kenosha, but he worked and volunteered in the city too and had very close ties in the community. An argument can (and most likely be made) that he was more of a resident than you refuse to acknowledge.

As for being underage? Again, semantics. A few months shy of being 'legal', and you think the rioters are going to wait? When life and limb and livelhood are at stake, the courts will see exceptions had to be made

You're whole argument is based on a 30 minute daily commute to work and a month or two away from being an adult.....the courts will make that exception, just like differentiating between "murder" and "self-defense".

nice try.

Doesn't matter, because it's about the narrative that is being portrayed.

You think this kid is some kid of Incel looking to shoot up a crowd of people? When he's just a typical apple-pie red blooded 2A American doing what they do.....

This thug already has Twitter calling him a hero, yet he fell into the same fallacies as the kid too.

I have a serious question. Are you unable to have a discussion without assigning the beliefs and thoughts you think I hold?

Can you show me anywhere that I said anything about Kyle Rittenhouse being an incel? Can you show me my post where I call the other guy a hero?

And, yes, it actually does make a difference because its not semantics. Its actually the law. The law states you cannot legally own a firearm until 18. The law also states you cannot cross state lines while in possession of a gun that is not licensed to you.

So what?

At best, he doesn't get charged with such a minor gun offense because self-defense was an issue.

At worse, he'll get a $1000 fine, or some kind of probation involving an ankle bracelet and endless hours couch-surfing and playing all the Call of Duty he wants.

Because this topic is so divisive there are only two types of people making judgments on Kyle

1) He's some brainwashed white-supremacist 2A nutting Incel looking to legitimately gun down "leftist liberals".

2) He's an American hero, being righteous in doing what real Americans do when defending themselves.

...flip-flopping on petty infractions like "state-lines" and "being underage carrying a rifle" is just proving how weak the Antifa-types are getting, when there is a real legit case for Kyle being cleared of his charges.
