Basically, even pro-party loyalists are getting the slap-chop based on which ministers you are more in favour of... the logical progression of this is either the dissolution of the CCP into a one leader dictatorship, or the collapse into to a more limited/reformed oligarchy to prevent such pro-party factional attacks.

...

Might be worth keeping an eye on

China is ultimately take over the world one way or another. It's only a matter of slowing them down at this point. They already own about 20% of literally everything they don't already own 100% of.

We're not talking about militarist occupation, all they have to do is keep buying debt in nations like ours that have essentially been bankrupt since 2008. At the rate were going, they'll have majority shares in our lifetime.

China can afford to play the long game here. Nothing of note is made in America anymore in quantities necessary to repel the economic invasion.

The sad part is, you say this as if it wasn't an inevitability.

The US's position in the world over the last 70 years or so was mostly predicated an artificial advantage gained once Europe devastated itself. And Europe's advantage over Asia was mostly just the unnatural benefit of industrializing while the rest of the world was still in an agricultural paradigm.

But Europe's mostly rebuilt itself, while China has successfully integrated agricultural advances and industrial technology, which means we're shifting back to the status quo that should have been in place all along. Where having the world's biggest population makes you the world's biggest superpower (militarily, economically, and culturally) by default.

If anything, China taking over the entire world economically is basically just the natural state of things reasserting itself.

The only real counter to that would be for China and India to basically go to war and annihilate each other so "The West" can continue to retain its grip on global influence in their absence, or for the US to invent some radically different advancement we can't even conceive of right now that gives us an advantage no one else can duplicate for decades. But neither of those things are even remotely likely, as most of our advances at this point are both quantitative rather than qualitative, and easily adoptable by anyone with a similar infrastructure.

Like it or not, this is the new world.

Though it's not like it matters, because unless you're Hispanic you're not going to have a say in US policy 50 years from now anyway.

All America would have to do is default on the debt. No way for China to collect.

And the bribes, influence-peddling, etc, allowed them to use the WHO to deliberately spread misinformation =(

Granted, it'd be pretty easy to sideline China, you'd just need to not trade with them and their system would collapse in upon itself faster than a shoddily-constructed ghost city of apartment complexes.

People make a big deal about that but most of America's debt is owed to Americans and, equally importantly, Americans own a chunk of China's debt. Of course, other debt is tied into the fact that they've exploited the World Bank which still classifies them as a developing country... and the money they borrow is often used to fund other country's debts >_>

Which is what they know will likely happen. The best best keeping the biggest debtors looking compliant. The second the first debtor defaults they know shit will hit the fan.

Hopefully, the latter, because while South Korea for example has some issues with it's oligarchical system, it's far better for China than dictatorship or the current fascist regime.
