When we were doing the dittos I got a good number of kills from fsmash and ftilt two frame. My timing isn't perfect but someone who knows the timing is going to give you a bad time. When I first started playing with you guys, I was using a pro controller. Tbh I prefer the pro controller over the GameCube controller. In the last few months, read around when I started learning Yoshi, I switched to a game through controller. The reason I did this was because I heard using a pro controller in local tournaments is a pain in the ass, because you have to disconnect your controller, and it seems super complicated. It's probably really not that hard to do, but I am the type of person to be forgetful and I would hate to piss people off because I forgot to turn my controller off. With that said, making diagonal movements is a lot easier on GameCube controllers. But still, I like pro controllers better. I found that it wasn't that bad so I just kept playing on them even when I decided to buy a gamecube adapter down the line. Since the pro controller basically has the same layout as the Wii U Gamepad I just use that most of the time. But I sometimes use the gamecube controller if I want to "mix" it up or whatever lol And yeah, I do agree with you that the pro controller feels way nicer on the hands than the gamecube controller.
