When it it happens in DC, they like to make a huge deal about it like when Wonder Woman killed Max Lord to stop him from mind controlling Superman. Wolverine kills someone and most characters just shrug because it is fairly normal. He keeps getting put in Arkham Asylum. That's an insane asylum and rehabilitation type of place, not a prison.
