I dont blame you. I personally cant even watch a minute of it without being grossed out. People keep defending it saying "tHaTs whAT it's meAnT tO Do!" As if they forget that these are actual fucking kids dancing like that.

You don't beat up a dog for real in a movie to show that animal abuse is bad. But people feel the need to defend this because, oh a black woman made it. So Brave! Dont listen to the altright and their racism!

Fucking pedos the lot of you. Seriously, fuck this movie.

Sephiroth, you had a massive 500 topic consisting of Asian girls, many of which were intentionally trying to look like kids. ngl this seems like feigned outrage due to having a chip on your shoulder. Ive seen quite a few other similar instances too.

Asians look young. Some of their whole schtick is to look cute. But theres a difference between looking young and being a kid.

Also even though some of those asian girls were in their 20s, they would never even partake in dances like what those kids did in cuties. What does that tell you?

Not to mention half of those topics featured busty gravure women who were well into their 30s as well. So it wasnt specifically girls trying to look young.

Being who I am, I won't watch the movie to confirm whether this movie is as bad as people are trying to portray it as. From the description of the film, there is no mention of trafficking anywhere and it doesn't seem to have a positive message towards what the girls are doing. I'd like to know that someone actually watched the film and could confirm that the contents of the film are no worse than most mainstream movies or at least by European standards.

How does it compare to that Good Boys film for example?

Yeah, you had an entire topic lusting over girls that look young, many of whom were intentionally doing things like dressing up in school clothes with backpacks and now youre being losing your mind over a movie that wasnt designed to turn anyone on and calling people pedos (of which you had many of that accusation directed at you on that topic). There is some clear baggage going on over here.

Holy shit, imagine the comparison. Japanese style and culture is exactly the same as small kids being sexualized.

I guess I shouldn't be with my girlfriend then either? She is Japanese and looks young as well, even though she is far older than those kids.

What a fucking take.

"Wasnt designed to turn anyone on".

But yeah, keep defending your disgusting perversion.

I totally agree with the pageants and dance competitions being bad. I think they've always been seen negatively but it never gained traction.

But this isnt a 'fake' version. Those are still real little girls being made to do those dances in those clothes. It's exactly the same as those nasty pageants.

No, its not normal Japanese style and culture to intentionally look as child-like as possible with pigtails, school clothing, and backpacks. Thats a subculture clearly meant to appeal to a specific kind of people.

Show me one picture that had a girl with a fucking pigtails and a backpack in my topic. You're pulling this out your ass so much it must be sore.

Also look at the Japanese industry before you go on about something you have no clue about. Better yet, look at the streets and people who walk it everyday and tell me that's not a standard style there. Their style and culture is totally different from the west, but that does not make them paedophiles. The standard japanese girl looks at cuteness as a positive, instead of sexiness.

McgeesAlice808 posted...
The whole point of the movie is to be uncomfortable and portray these scenes in a bad way. Youre not supposed to be turned on by it and the fact that you see it that way says a lot about you. And nice try but Im not attracted to kids, people that look like kids (unlike a certain someone), or girls at all.

I guess paedophiles like you wont be watching the movie then right? Oh wait.
And I guess the little girls never dressed up like strippers and they never danced like they were simulating sexual actions either.

McgeesAlice808 posted...
lol I work with Japanese people. The stuff you had in your topics were not normal Japanese content at all.
It is sexual but contrary to what reactionary American conservatives believe, sexual themes arent automatically meant for titillation. Youd think youd know that since Japanese media has a lot of this but apparently you actually do enjoy every sexual theme for the lust factor.

Oh good, you worked with a few Japanese people. I guess they can tell you what normal Japanese females look up to when they choose what style they would want to go for. As a conservative society, the sexy theme isnt as popular as the cute "kawaii" theme. That's literally what people say to each other over there as a compliment. Not "you look sexy" but "you look cute".

McgeesAlice808 posted...
Nah, this is exactly what youre doing. Youre projecting your own intentions onto the movie and then projecting your own guilt of making a wank topic filled with childlike girls dressing up as kids and gravure models (which has had its own share of criticism on exploitation)

The videos speak for themselves and you have literally exposed yourself. I pray you never go near any kids in the future.

then who would it be for? For adults who have already gone through that point of their lives?

if its not a proper coming of age film, then it doesnt need to exist.

and I dont believe this movie is promoting child sexualization. But it also doesnt seem like it would turn away a pedo either.

You know "coming of age" films aren't usually a guide for people of that age, right? Some are intended for nostalgia, some are to show a different life experience through a common framing that people go through, etc.

Like wtf does "proper coming of age film" mean?

i didnt say it was - if the intent of the director was for it to be a coming of age film, then it missed the mark by the gratuitous content of child sexualization. I never said or meant that it was a guide to life.

and if it isnt meant for teens, but for adults then what adults were they targeting?

Tbh something like that teen beach movie from Disney channel would be just as inviting to those kinds of people. This movie sounds like it was trying to make a statement but took some liberties that even without the fake outrage about child trafficking would have sparked some deserving criticism.

Nope, you've hitched your horse to the stupid wagon and there's no getting off until you make the effort to get off. The people who keep harping on about the movie get to be laughed at and jeered at, as is their privilege, for their misguided moral panic. They can apologize and move on at any moment, and learn to talk about movies like adults.
I saw some more clips and I really don't think those defending it have seen it
The movie should require scant little defending because there's pretty much nothing bad about it, at least according to the clips. I'm assuming that if the movie actually had anything bad in it, it would either be ignored (because the people who spearheaded this outrage don't actually care), or I would have seen it. So far, its pretty much nothing.
or if they have, they look like those movie reviewers that have been giving the movie glowing reviews (they are all fat turbo beard michael moore looking creeps)
Michael Moore hasn't had a beard in a while, to start with, at least as far as I can tell. Furthermore, attacking people's appearances in general is somehow even stupider than complaining about this movie, in addition to being pretty much immediately disproven anyway with only a cursory glance at Rotten Tomatoes.

Thats really the most important part of this narrative though. Like if people has just called it out as looking gross then it wouldve been normal and fine, but the QAnon bullshit trying to link literally everything to trafficking while ignoring that most victims of trafficking are poor people, runaways, and LGBTQ+ youths who got kicked out of their homes who are trying to survive. We need to prop up people who are so low on options that they trafficking themselves and instead people are screaming about children who looked gross but had therapy and financial support the entire time.

Source on most victims being LGBTQ+?
