Deny. There are a ton of people who are accused of being a child rapist when there is only 3-4 years in the age difference. Seriously though, someone who is 20 can be accused of raping a 17 year old and that sticks with them for life, even if it was consensual and they were in a proper relationship, but the partner panics when confronted.

Case in point, we had a couple at my college. She was studying something, and he was a young security guard. He was 21 years old and she was 18. She panicked when her parents came to visit and screamed rape on the guy, despite them being in a proper relationship for nearly 6 months. He got sent to prison, and was only released after they found out 7 months later, when she came out and said she lied. Obviously he wasn't accused of being a child rapist, but imagine if she was 17 and he was 19? You'd essentially be dooming a young man to death because of false allegations.

I'm not saying there aren't a lot of sick fucks out there, but that's something they can take care of behind closed doors, not in front of the public. Adding public executions to the mix will only make it worse. People who rape won't stop, as there is something mentally wrong with them, and then you'd have the adrenaline junkies who purposely do illegal things try to do it and get away with it, just for the rush.

Don't care if they die, but having it be public is pretty fucked.

These are child molesters/rapists, not pedophiles; you can molest a child without being sexually attracted to them.

Saying it's cruel to execute someone doesn't mean you support what they stand for or what they did.
