Police say the protesters were aged 16-43 who were arrested for rioting in Lancaster after a police shooting of a knife wielding man that sparked protests. Ricard Munoz's fatal shooting degenerated into rioting that damaged Lancaster's Police Headquarters and produced an arson fire that blocked a downtown intersection The city is diverse with nearly 60,000 in the heart of Pennsylvania's Amish country. 24 y/o Jamal Shariff Newman, 24 y/o Barry Jones, 30 y/o Frank Gaston, 43 y/o Yoshua Dwayne Montague, 23 y/o Matthew Modderman, 31 y/o Talia Gessner, 18 y/o Kathryn Patterson, 20 y/o Taylor Enterline, 20 y/o T-Jay Fry, 28 y/o Dylan Davis, 28 y/o Lee Alexander Wise, 32 y/o Jessica Marie Lopez were charged A 16 y/o was also charged with disorderly conduct and riot The father of Kathryn Patterson, who is an undergrad at Franklin and Marshall said his daughter was only acting as a medic and called her 1 million bail "obscene" and said "Everything that i know so far, which is not a lot, indicates that Kat is not gulity of those charges, but then again we'll have to wait and see. Regardless of what these people did or didn't do, the bail amount is just outrageous and clearly against the 8th amendment" It happened after the death of Ricard Munoz whose sister called authorities in hopes of having him committed for mental health as he approached an officer with a knife and the officer shot him.
