Which means it'll be $110-120 here in Australia. Bullshit.

Game prices actually need to lower.

I mean Miles Morales is $49.99 for the standard edition so not all games will be $69.99

The $69.99 Spider-Man includes a remaster of the original game. Hard to tell what that means.

Miles Morales is a budget release like Lost Legacy so that makes sense.

Unfortunately it probably means older PS4 games won't get free remasters.

Educate yourself please before you show more of your ignorance on the subject. They've had many price increases, just because you don't see it on the tag doesn't mean it isn't there. Also do you think all the bullshit will just vanish due to this increase? No, gamers are the ultimate marks and continue to be so.

Luckily in the US, with BF and Christmas, you can get most physical games released into November for $10-$30 at most (Fallen Order was $30 in the 2nd week of December last year).

At least, as long as physical remains, which I hope it does. Digital hardly matches physical deals. Even Deluxe editions hit that low, which are usually $70.

They don't need a price increase given the prevalence of day 1 dlc, microtransactions, and season passes. Gaming is more profitable than its ever been...developers and publishers just want more is all...and it isn't warranted unless they plan on releasing 100% full and complete games.

This. Accounting for inflation they're actually cheaper while developing costs have skyrocketed. Part of the reason why so many paid dlc.

Most of a game's budget goes to advertising and hiring all those top voice actors and other extraneous bullshit that isn't needed, not development.

I'd love to live in the world your living in. Because FF 15 on release wasn't complete, Christ they had 4 separate PAID dlcs and it still didn't finish the story. And no, gaming is not better every day. Every companies game is a bloody mess on release because companies don't have standards anymore. They are being pushed by publishers to finish the game before its ready, which is why we get things like day 1 dlc patches, and them still trying to finish the game months after launch.

Even my favorite game of the PS4 console generation, Bloodborne was riddled with latency problems.

Yeah online stores and jb usually knock 30-40 dollars of the RRP, but now that might still be 80 bucks.

Yeah true. Looking at EB Games budget release Spider-man Miles Morales is $95 (lol). Black Ops Cold War is $120. For some reason Destruction All-Stars and Demon's Souls are $125?!

You know, I'm fine with games being 70 dollars. It means companies wont have to do the garbage content carving of pre-order bonuses and DLCs to make money.

I mean, surely they're not gonna do everything the same way but charge more money regardless?
