or is my 10 year old nephew just a wierdo? He basically has no interest in watching actual movies. He just plays tablet games and watches youtube videos about minecraft and stuff.

Nope. Kids don't watch movies anymore. It's why movies for kids have basically stopped being a thing. Disney movies are more patroned by adults now anyway.

Neither of my neohews like movies, but will happily watch people play video games online.

I think the attention span is gone. Things just keep getting shorter and shorter. Tiktok videos are a few seconds.

That's definitely not true. Every time I've been to a new Marvel movie, there were always a ton of excited kids of all ages watching. Kids movies haven't stopped being a thing, either. It's just that a random smattering of Youtube content and an endless stream of phone games (complete with whinny reviews from underage users about how at some point they need to pay money) hold short attention spans better.
