For most cases, I'd argue situational awareness more than flaunting political beliefs outright. Compare to a couple other users here, like Dilly, and it becomes full-on displays of how they think Trump is the best thing ever. At this point, for the former, it's become obligatory to say Zeus will appear to make a non-defense of the situation whether by calling it a lie because rightist media says something else, or because the carefully selected sources from the moderates and liberals alike are "leftist garbage" and not to be trusted. So of course it seems like liberals open the vast majority of these threads, because moderates and leftward are all trying to point out these things that are actually happening, not at all ignoring events as they come to light, and know the usual responders will do what said responders do every time. It's a merry-go-round of shit hitting the fan, and nothing more being done than people pointing it out and a handful of others calling that shit leftist propaganda.

so what you are saying basically is, "there are more liberal topics because reality tilts left, and people post about things that happen"?

No, I'm saying reality is unbiased, the centrists and the left are trying to point out the things that are happening in an appropriate manner, and some of the right are treating reality like something to be dragged by a speeding vehicle across miles of hard dirt, because how dare anything, including the rest of the developed world, be to the left of the right's ideals?

That's what one needs to look at. If the factual reporting is high but the editorials make it left of center or right of center you should be able to pull out the facts pretty easily.

that being said, where IS the center?

many to the left don't want to admit they're voting for Mr Magoo, and after 4 years of OMB, many on the right are just keeping their mouths shut and voting for "Cheeto Benito" so as not to deal with the constant beratement.

so like i said, where is the center? it sure as hell isn't going to be as far to one side or the other as either team thinks it is, and you can't really put any weight on the polling data, because by its very nature it is a self-selecting beast in a largely silent and simultaneously loud election.
